This evening offers you two very special events: Join world renowned singer, Jennifer LaMountain, for a vespers service at 6:00pm in the sanctuary. The concert will feature songs from her newest album, “Confessions: Hymns and Songs of Faith.” Come join Jennifer for an evening of inspirational music and testimony. Then head over to our WAA campus for….
WAA Classroom Dedication. This event will start immediately following the Jennifer LaMountain concert, approximately 7:15pm. You will begin at the entrance to the school, praying, singing and asking for God’s blessing over each room within. This evening has been designed with you in mind, to offer you the richness of God's blessings as we close His Sabbath day.
BE CAREFUL! You may have noticed some construction going on around the front and side of the church. Please watch your step and steer clear of the caution tape. In order to install a cell tower up in our steeple, workmen need to dig down below our foundation, thus the deep trenches. Please do take care to avoid these areas.

Deacon and Deaconness team meeting – Join us for potluck on Sabbath, September 13, where we will conduct our yearly meeting on church operations. Since we don’t meet often, it’s important to have all of you there. We promise to feed you and your families well!!
Divorce Care begins a new 13 week session on August 21. This group meets every Thursday evening at 7:00pm in the Fellowship hall for 13 weeks. Please Call Sheila St.Jean with questions. (614) 431-7268
Little Lambs Church Daycare: A new ministry has been established that will provide a place for your preschooler to play while you enjoy the second service. You will drop off your child in the cradle roll room and be given a pager to keep during the service. This is available second service only and begins on September 6th. Outdoor Church at Sharon Wood Metro Park – Mark your calendar for September 27 when Pastor Bob and friends will present a delightful service in the beautiful setting of Sharon Woods Park. Of course it wouldn’t be an Adventist event without a potluck, so plan to bring your favorite casserole to share.
September 6, 2008 is Investiture Sabbath. If you or someone you know achieved a Pathfinder honor but has not been awarded their patch & pin, we would like to correct that. Mike Stevenson, our Ohio Conference Youth & Pathfinder Director will be here on September 6th to facilitate a special Investiture service. It doesn’t matter how long ago the honor was achieved, it’s time you receive the recognition you deserve. This is very important: You must contact the church office (885-7812) and let us know the honors that you need a.s.a.p. so that we can order them and have them ready for the Investiture service.
Baby Shower planned for Julie (Abbott) Hume on Sunday September 7 at 2:00pm in the Garden Room. Julie and Jeff are expecting a girl, Hailey at the end of September. They are registered at Babies ‘R’ Us.
Time is running short to register for this year’s Ohio Women’s Retreat taking place at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Dublin Ohio on September 19-21. Application deadline is Monday, August 25 for room reservations. Pick up a brochure or check it out online at www.ohioadventist.org.
Volunteer at Mohaven! Take a break from the city and spend a few hours tending to God's Garden of Eden right here in Ohio -- at Mohaven! Tree branches need trimming, and dry stone planters and edging need to be laid. Interior drywall, paint, and flooring, etc. need to be applied as well. This is a great Sunday afternoon getaway for an individual, a family, or more. Afterwards, maybe you can take a dip in the pool, or ride a horse. Come share in the blessing! We have two special couples celebrating milestone wedding anniversaries! Congrats to Jim & Elizabeth Wallace who have reached their 55th year of marriage and to Jim & Janet Carr who are celebrating 54 years! We’re so happy for them and wish them many more happy years together.
