The Street Beat Ministry had a wonderful response to our collection of towels and toiletries for the homeless men's shelter. You opened your hearts and your wallets to show how you care for others in need. We hope to do this during the months of May and June each year.  Also, this winter we will be collecting again for coats, hats, gloves and scarves. Keep this in mind as you clean out your closets for fall.  Remember, only men's items will be accepted.

A new Prayer group has formed and they would like to invite you to join them. They meet every Tuesday at 7:00pm here in the garden room of the church. This group spends an hour in prayer for the requests that come in to the prayer team and the church office.

Books At Your Door. The Worthington Library now has a homebound service book delivery service. If you live in the Worthington school district and are homebound you qualify to participate. Contact Rebecca Wenden at 807-2626 for more info.

Scioto Ridge Job Networking Group (SRJNG). We have accepted an opportunity to host this group on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month beginning August 5. This group supports the unemployed by offering useful skills for resumé writing, job interviewing techniques, networking opportunities, etc. You are welcome to participate at any time. There is a $5 donation per meeting. No advanced registration is necessary.
Are you looking for a way to volunteer your time? SRJNG is looking for folks to help facilitate these meetings at our church. They need help in the areas of greeting, registration, PA operations and setup/tear down.

Take a step back and let God surprise you in a unique way that only He can accomplish.  Plan now to attend the 2009 Women's Retreat September 18-20 at the Embassy Suites Hotel.  Pick up a brochure or check out the details online at www.ohioadventist.org.
