Please bring them to the church and leave them on the round table in the narthex.   Please note: The Little Lambs ministry will not be available, Sabbath, November 21, 28 and December 26 to allow those families involved time with their families.   Did you order your citrus? Delivery to the activity center will be November 21 and pick will be November 22 from 1:00-3:00 in the activity center. If are able, the Ouzounian's could use help unloading the citrus truck at 5:15pm on Saturday. Please meet them at the activity center. Here's to a healthy winter for you all!    Coming in the weeks ahead:  Excitement mounts for Charlie & Bobs Thanksgiving brunch! Many of you have asked how you can help. If you would like to bring a dish (it is NOT a necessity) choose from this list: an entrée, a beverage, a vegy or a dessert. Please list what you'll be bringing on the sign up sheet titled Thanksgiving Meal, hanging on the west bulletin board in the narthex. If you have any questions or if you need a ride to the church call Bob or Robin on their cell phones, 439-0818 or 330-9615.   Men's Winter Coat Drive. If you have gently used or new winter wear for men that you would like to donate to our Street Beat Ministry, please bring it to the church and put in the drop box in the narthex. Men's outerwear only, i.e.: coats, hats, gloves, socks and scarves.   We continue to collect UPC codes from Worthington Foods, Loma Linda, Natural Touch and Morningstar Farms products. The Kellogg company pays 5¢ for every UPC collected and forwards this money on to the NAD's Mission Investment project. This is EASY money!! Please cut or tear off the UPC code from the package, bring it to church and put it in the collection basket in the secretaries office on the floor by the copier. Thanks!   Do you or the church ministry that you participate in have things stored in the basement? Pastor Bob is trying to turn some of the basement space into usable space and is filling our dumpster on a weekly basis! If there are things down there that you want to protect, make sure they are maked with an orange storage tag. You will find these tags in the basement for your use.   The WWM's Ornament Exchange is scheduled for Saturday, December 5 beginning at 6:30pm. It will be held at the church in the garden room. Please bring an ornament to exchange.   The Worthington Seventh-Day Adventist Church will be hosting Life Line Screening on 12/9/2009.  These health screenings will be offered for people 40-years-old and older. The vascular screenings are performed using Doppler color flow ultrasound systems and include the following: 1) A Carotid Artery Screening –visualizes the build up of plaque in the carotid arteries, which leads to stroke. (Most strokes are linked to carotid artery blockage) 2) An Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) test – looks for an enlargement in the abdominal aorta that could lead to a ruptured aortic artery. The vast majority of people who have an aneurysm have no symptoms. 3) An Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) – screens for peripheral arterial disease in the lower extremities, which is closely linked to coronary artery disease. 4) Bone density screening, which tests for the early signs of osteoporosis. 5) Atrial Fibrillation (Afib) – A test to measure irregular heart beat. Atrial Fibrillation increases the risk of stroke 5 times. 6) Complete Lipid panel, Glucose and C-Reactive Protein blood tests are also available for $99.00. ($70 when combined with tests 1-5 above) These blood tests require an eight hour fast. You must pre-register by calling 1-888-653-6441. These screenings are completely painless, non-invasive, and affordable.
