This week:

Sabbath, May 29, 2010. Pastor Loren Seibold – Faithfulness

If you worship at our 1st service, you may have noticed the absence of our praise band Grace Notes. Don't worry, they haven't left us! They will continue leading our praise and worship every other Sabbath through the summer months. This will allow them to vacation, spend time with family and be a bit more flexible through the summer.

Join us for a special  viewing of the documentary "The Adventists" this Saturday, May 29. Show time is 6:00pm and Admission is Free!  "This is a multi-storied documentary film that explores a church that couples a firm belief in the near Second Coming of Christ with a remarkable focus on health, wholeness and well-being. Born out of religious fervor of the mid-19th century, Adventists today are living longer and seemingly healthier lives and are the subject of numerous studies to understand why."

Towel & Toiletries Drive – This is the last Sabbath to drop off toiletries for the men's shelter. Some items needed are: towels & wash clothes, toothbrush and toothpaste, deodorant and soap.

Coming in the weeks ahead:

It's graduation season! If you have a graduate in the family, please let the church office know so that we can announce their accomplishments. All we need are their name and place of graduation.

ALL NATIONS SABBATH- Saturday, June 12-Celebrating our multicultural church family! Did you know that every Sabbath you worship with fellow Christians from over 24 different countries?! We have members from Bosnia, Rwanda, Brazil, United States, Ghana, Kenya, Venezuela, Cuba, Korea, Australia and more! We thought that with such a rich and diverse population, it might be fun to highlight and celebrate our common Christian faith, through the various cultural traditions.  So on Saturday, June 12, we invite you to represent your homeland in the following ways:

  • Wear your traditional dress
  • Bring a traditional dish/meal to share at our fellowship luncheon
  • Carry your country's flag
  • Share a favorite ethnic song
  • Bring items of interest from your country to display

Our coordinator for this event is Kennedy Dulo and he would like to meet with you and receive your input for this event. Please meet with Kennedy for this brief planning session on May 29 in the fellowship hall immediately after 1st service or immediately after 2nd service. It is truly a blessing and a privilege to know and worship with God's children from every corner of the globe and we look forward to experiencing a sample of the place you call HOME!
