HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!

This week:

Sabbath, June 19, 2010 – Elder Raj Attiken: When Good Answers Aren't Good Enough

What Makes A Dad
God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,

The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,

The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,

Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it ... Dad

Our longest running ministry, Street Beat is struggling to continue. They are short on help and those involved are unable to maintain this important work. This will be their last call for help. If you've been looking for a way to pay your blessings forward, this may be the ticket! This group meets every Sunday at 8:00a.m. in the kitchen and prepares a meal for one of Columbus' homeless shelters. If you feel called to participate, please call Kayleen at (419) 234-6093 or just show up Sunday at 8:00a.m.

Many, Many thanks to those volunteers who came out last Sunday and spread 120 bags of mulch!! Our hero's are Dave Mono's, Tom Essman, Charlie Hastilow, Laura Hanley & Dan and Jenny Thorward.

We are hosting an ARC Blood Drive on Saturday, July 3 from 9:00a.m. until 2:00p.m. The Blood mobile will be parked in our lot for your giving convenience!
