New Year's Resolution #4 Become better acquainted with my church family. What better way to fulfill this resolution than by attending our 2nd Sabbath of the month fellowship luncheons! The food is outstanding, the company is delightful and it's such a great way to spend a Sabbath afternoon. Please join us on January 9th following the 2nd service as we bid the Feldbushes goodbye. Please bring an entrée and a salad or dessert to share.

Congratulations to Pastor Mark Feldbush and family. Mark has accepted a job as a hospital chaplain at Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, MD. He starts January 11. We'll get to hear Mark preach one last time on January 9. We plan to honor the Feldbush's at our all church fellowship luncheon following the 2nd service that day so please plan to join Mark, Becky, Tegwen and Beatrice as we bid them a fond farewell.

Kitchen clean-up. We have a lot of unmarked items in the refrigerator that have been there for a long time. Your church secretary (me) will be spending a few hours cleaning out the fridge in a couple of weeks. If you have something in there that you want to claim, please label it or remove it. Everything else will be disposed of or donated.

The U.S. Census Bureau has been using our facility as a testing site for some upcoming job openings. They continue to look for qualified workers. If you would be interested in applying, please call 614-684-0140 or go to 2010censusjobs.gov.

If you would like to take home one (or more) of the poinsettia plants on display in the sanctuary or narthex, please help yourself following the 2nd worship service this week.

There is a new Vegetarian/Vegan kids group forming in the Columbus Area. Its purpose is to allow parents and guardians a way to organize Vegetarian friendly events for their kids without the usual worries of what's going to be served or that the activities my cause uneasiness for those trying to lead a Vegetarian life style. This group is not centered on any religious denomination. There are people from many different religious view points as members of the group. The focus is solely the shared Vegetarian/Vegan life style.  Anyone who is interested can review the yahoo group web page at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ColumbusVegKids/. If you have more questions, or would like to join the group, you may contact Mark Whitt at 614-898-0043 or MarkWhitt13@yahoo.com.
