My Grace is Sufficient. II Cor. 12:9

Upcoming Events and Items of Interest:

Coming this week:
We are privileged to welcome Elder Don Pate to our church this Sabbath. He will be speaking at both services and again in the afternoon. His first service sermon is entitled Bind Me Well. His second service sermon is entitled Tilting the Universe and his afternoon program is entitled The High Holidays Plus taking place in the garden room at 3:00pm.

Vespers followed by an Ice Cream Social. Our church elders have been working hard to prepare a special evening for you this Sabbath, October 4. Pastor Bob will begin with vespers at 6:00. He requests that you bring an 8 ½ x 11 sheet of paper with your favorite name of God written on it. Then our elders are hosting an Ice Cream Social and would love for you to join them! There will be fun games, prizes and lots of good treats. The cost of attending?...your favorite flavor of ice cream or a yummy topping.

Coming in the weeks ahead:
We would like to thank the following people for their time and dedication to our DivorceCare Ministry. Please give each of these people a hug and thank them for their commitment to this program: Jim Blue, Bill Bumgardner, Andrea Gibbs, Colleen Hindman, Hollianne Kanoski, Philip Livanos, James Steen, Sheila St. Jean, David Walden and Rachelle White. DivorceCare and DC4Kids will be offered twice a year at the Worthington SDA Church on Thursday evenings at 7:00-8:30pm.

Our Mother’s Room, located on the second floor, is a private place for mothers to go and take care of the needs of their baby. The room could use an additional glider/rocker and playpen. If you have one of these items and would be interested in donating, please call the church office, 885-7812.

Did You Know? We have a lending library full of books, bibles, commentaries, videos, studies and much more. There is no check-out system. Just browse the shelves, take what interests you, and return it when you are through. You will find these materials in the extra office of the admin wing. It is a little disorganized right now but you are still welcome to come and make your selections.
