This Sabbath is our All Church Fellowship Luncheon. This is a wonderful way to engage with folks that you might not have the chance to visit with during or after a worship service. It’s also a way of strengthening our church community. Please remember to bring an entrée and a salad or dessert to share!
Coming in the weeks ahead:
Pastor Seibold will be taking a three week sabbatical beginning October 15. He and Carmen will be traveling to Italy to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary. Pastor Bob and Carolyn have arranged for special guests to be here on the three Sabbaths that Pastor Seibold is away. First up on Sabbath, October 18 is Dr. Ivan Blake and his wife Elvira. Dr. Blake is the pastor of the Minnetonka SDA church in MN. On Sabbath, October 25, the King’s Heralds will be bringing you both worship services. Then on Sabbath, November 1, Chaplain Thom Juarros and the Shenandoah Valley Bell choir will be here.
Available again this year are the colorful, inspirational God’s Creation Calendars. Our WAA students will be selling them beginning October 12. They remain the same low price as in the past, just $8. Buy one for your home, office and for that hard-to-buy-for uncle for Christmas!
Did You Know? We have a lending library full of books, bibles, commentaries, videos, studies and much more. There is no check-out system. Just browse the shelves, take what interests you, and return it when you are through. You will find these materials in the extra office of the admin wing. It is a little disorganized right now but you are still welcome to come and make your selections.
The church will be hosting a monthly, three day R.A.D. System course. R.A.D. stands for rape aggression defense system. This program is for women only and stresses awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance. The course begins October 26, 27 & 28 from 6:30-10:00pm in the activity center and costs $75.00.
