Coming this week:

This Sabbath is Education Sabbath and there are many wonderful things planned to bless your Sabbath day. WAA school children will be actively involved in the service with readings, music and stories. Chaplain Mark Feldbush is the guest speaker for both services. We will close the Sabbath with a special ordination service for Mark Feldbush beginning at 6:30pm to which you are all invited! Be sure to join us for this most special of Sabbaths!

Strategic Planning Committee Survey. Our SPC has put together a questionnaire and they are hoping that every member/attender of our congregation will complete one. I have pasted the survey into this newsletter at the very bottom. You can run a copy of the survey from this newsletter or you can get a copy at church. It is so important that EVERYONE take the time to complete a survey. Once your survey is complete, we ask that you drop it into the survey box in the church narthex, hand it to one of the SPC members or mail it to the church office. These surveys are 100% confidential.

Coming in the weeks ahead:

A special vespers service at 8:30p.m. on May 2nd. You are invited to join those who participated in the Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage seminar for the viewing of the movie "Fireproof."  This feature film, starring Kirk Cameron is rated PG and has been called one of the best movies of 2008. To see a clip from the movie, visit this link: http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1810036605/info.

Our Choir is gearing up for their final performance of the season at a vespers program on Saturday, May 17 at 6:00pm in the sanctuary.

Update on MaryAnn Buckles.  She is still being cared for at ManorCare, 140 Old County Line Rd. 882-1511.

Update on Eva Gates. She continues to be in SICU bed five at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She is in and able to receive visitors from 10-2:00 and 4-8:00p.m. The family asks that you continue to pray for both Eva and Archie as this is a very difficult time for them.

Next Tuesday is the last class offered to senior women for some gentle stretching and bending. They meet in the Fellowship Hall at 7:00pm and end at 7:40pm. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a towel for the floor. If floor exercise is not physically feasible, you can do these same exercises from a chair.  Questions?  Call Mary Fran at 885-3192.

Can you help? Marchita Gilson is looking for one, or several "good Samaritans" who would be willing to sit with her father on MAY 8 and/or MAY15  from 10am to about 1:30 or 2p.m. Any amount of time you could spend would be helpful. If you are able to help, please call Pastor Bob at 614-439-0818. Thanks!
