Coming this week:

Please join us for a Communion/Ordance of Humility service this Sabbath during both 1st and 2nd services.

 

REMINDER: This Sabbath is our all church fellowship luncheon following the 2nd service. Please bring an entrée and dessert or salad to share.

 

We are, again this year, excited to invite you to our Interfaith Easter Service, on Easter morning at the WSDA Church beginning at 10:00a.m.  This is an opportunity to celebrate Easter and share your church with your Sunday keeping family and friends. We will also share communion with those in attendance.

 

Three exciting events taking place this Sabbath! 1st service Pastor Bob will dedicate baby Jaden Bunde and at 2nd service baby Hailey Hume will be dedicated along with the baptism of Laura Pearce. Congratulations to all of you and we are excited to part of your special day!

 

WORTHINGTON ADVENTIST ACADEMY OPEN HOUSE. You are all invited to tour our school at an Open House on Thursday, April 16 from 6:00-8:00pm. The children and teachers are very proud of the warm, safe, learning environment that they have created and they would love to show it off to you!

Baby Shower Time! Let's help Nadine and John Zygowiec get ready for the arrival of their son in May by throwing them a shower! Join us on Sunday, April 19th at 2:00pm in the garden room. Nadine is registered at Babies 'R' Us.

 

Four Weeks to Better Health. A gentle stretching and bending class is available for our Senior Ladies. Each Tuesday in April, you are invited to meet in the Fellowship Hall at 7:00pm for FORTY minutes of gentle bending and stretching. We begin promptly at 7:00pm and end at 7:40pm. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a towel for the floor. If floor exercise is not physically feasible, you can do these same exercises from a chair.  Questions?  Call Mary Fran at 885-3192.

 

If you provided a meal for the Duncan family, your serving dish/platter/utensil is in the church kitchen. Please stop by the kitchen to retrieve your dish. Steve is eternally grateful for all of the wonderful nourishment that was provided to his family (both physically and emotionally) during Myrna's battle with cancer. Steve continues to be overwhelmed at the outpouring of love that has help sustain him through this difficult ordeal. You have truly been the hand and heart of God for the Duncan family and they thank you.

Annual Town Hall Meetings: The Ohio Conference will hold its annual series of six area Town Hall Meetings in April. The meeting in our area will be on Tuesday, April 21 from 7:00-8:30 at the Columbus Eastwood church. All church members are invited to attend. Agenda will include presentations on current issues, trends and opportunities.

 

Pathfinders are looking for a glass display case. If you or anyone you know has one that they would be willing to donate, please contact Pathfinder leader Kevin Sciulli at (614) 841-9085 or the church office at (614) 885-7812.

 

Spring is here which means summer is on the way. We have a young man offering his lawn cutting service. If you need help with this chore for the summer or if you just need him while you're away on vacation, Andrew Johns' is available. Call him at 614 579-0963.

 

Allan & Mickey Buller have moved back to 655 Andover St. where they now share their home with daughter Suzy and her family. The new phone number is 614-341-5313. The Juarros number is 614-433-7197. Cell phone numbers remain the same for all.

Adventurer's Fun Day. We are inviting all Worthington Adventurers and their Families to Camp Mohaven for our Adventurer's Fun Day on May 16-17, 2009. The program starts at 3:00PM with the theme: Nature – God's Second Book, and ends at noon on Sunday. Meals will be provided for Sabbath supper and Sunday breakfast.  In order for the conference to make plans for all participants, we need to separate your place by NO LATER THAN April 15th. Please call (614-824-8496) or e-mail Betsy Blocher at bblocher@columbus.rr.com with your information.  The cost is $12.00 per Adventurer$10.00 per parent and staff with a family cap of $40.00 (immediate family).  Children 4 and under are free.

Nature Awards & Chips will be earned on Sabbath afternoon, games & activities will be on Sunday morning.  We are looking forward to seeing you all there to have lots of fun and create awesome memories with our children!

 

Are you looking for an opportunity to put your faith into action? Then join us for the annual Leadership Worthington Service Day, Saturday May 2 from 9:00 a.m. to Noon at Kilbourne Middle School (50 E. Dublin-Granville Rd.) Breakfast for the volunteers start at 8:00 and T-shirts are provided. Team up with fellow members of your congregation, your youth group, or come by yourself. Youth volunteers must be accompanied by adults. Join others committed to making our community a better place through service. Can We Help You?  Leadership Worthington Service Day volunteers help Seniors and residents in need with chores such as inside and outside clean-up, grocery shopping  or running errands for shut-ins, and light landscaping such as weeding, planting flowers or spreading mulch. If you live within the
Worthington School district and would like help with these sorts of things, contact Joan Bird in the Leadership Worthington office at 883-3057 or email her at jbird@worthington.k12.oh.us.
